Risky Tangerine
The movie Risky Business has to be one of my top 10 favorite films of all time. I grew up watching movies like this...The house parties in suburbia, the chicks, the fast cars, high school, the lame jokes and of course the soundtracks. Tangerine Dream wrote the score & soundtrack to Risky Business in 1982 which was actually my first introduction to ambient/electronica music. As soon as the movie opens you hear Tangerine Dream's beautiful soundscapes and melodies. The track "Love On A Real Train", is featured in the soundtrack and is still to this day one of my favorite ambient pieces ever. The gentle keys and angelic textures always bring me back to a much better time. It's such a brilliant song. The track is featured in the movie during the famous "train scene" with Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay, hence the name, and is one of Tangerine Dream's most popular songs.
I know I've been posting lots of music blogs (which I normally don't do) but I am really feeling this track at the moment so I wanted to bring it back to light. Perfect for long city nights or some quality time with yourself. Download it here.
