Cinelli Vigorelli: Limited Edition Red Hook Crit Frame

The wonderful people at Cinelli never cease to amaze me! They have produced a limited edition custom Vigorelli frame for the upcoming Red Hook Criterium taking place March 26th in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The frame boasts such a beautiful color combo with those red accents and subtle graphics, Cinelli definitely outdid themselves with this beauty. Only way of owning one is to win, win, win! I wish I could attend this event even though I don't have a chance at winning, but this race will be epic in every way starting with the prizes.

Supreme Spring/Summer '11

Earlier today, Supreme released the first look into their 2011 spring/summer line on their website, once again featuring various collaborations and high quality goods which Supreme is known for. This years spring/summer line is not their greatest, but definitely holds it's weight as there is something for everyone, especially us cyclists with those legit as hell Cinelli x Supreme cycling gloves or that mini Supreme bicycle pump, even a doggie bowl for my rottie. I'm also really liking that Kaws supreme box logo hoodie, and those guayabera's they plan on releasing are great for any spring outing. As always Supreme delivers another interesting line of perfection, bear witness below.

The Cinelli Story

Remembered maybe more for his cycling career, Cino Cinelli has changed the face of cycling as we know it today. From his days of winning races like the Milan-San Remo in 1943, the Giro di Lombardia in 1938, and the Tour of the Apennines in 1937. His brilliant intuitions led him to start a company in his own name in 1948.

In 1978, Cino handed the company over to a young entrepreneur in the steel tube industry with the bicycle at heart. Antonio Colombo owner of Columbus tubing had a different interpretation, perhaps more visionary. From the beginning up to the present, competition is always in Cinelli’s DNA. Its handlebars are chosen by champions such as Lemon, Fignon, Hinault and Chiappucci, without forgetting Lance Armstorng and Mario Cipollini and also Di Luca, Freire and Simoni.

Being a Cinelli owner myself, I've realized the great attention to detail that is used when frame-building at Cinelli. The welds, geometry, durability and overall creative design are what makes this bicycle company stand out way above the rest. They are definitely the best frames I've ever ridden.

Chas for Mash SF

Here is some short but sweet footage of Chas from Mash tearing up San Francisco's streets on his Cinelli. It's a promo shoot for Vittoria tires, which I love using and always recommend to anyone that ever asks me about cycling tires. Check it out below.

2011 Cinelli Vigorelli & Mash

Just last week in Vegas was the annual Interbike trade show and the Cinelli reps were out in full force with a full line of new accessories and bikes. Very impressive to say the least, and it shows Cinelli is atop of the cycling game. The new Mash & Vigorelli are perfect examples. Take the Vigorelli for instance, how many years were they planning on releasing the same color-scheme? I mean, of course I love the original colors since it's on my Vigorelli, but I was honestly hoping for a different approach to make them stand out. So here we have the 2011 Vigorelli in a beautiful stealth-black with accents of red, green and yellow. The geometry hasn't changed much, just slightly, and hopefully like the Mash, they keep changing the color-scheme each year.



The 2011 Mash is not of this world, in fact it's out of this world! Everything about it is perfect and I couldn't be more in love with this frame. For the 2011 Mash, Cinelli decided on a steeper, more aggressive top-tube geometry (look at that thing!) and a paint job that is probably the best ever done on any of their bikes. That flat black & glossy blue with accents of gray go together hand in hand. They definitely upped the already highly praised Mash line to another level! In the end, this is one serious track bike and from the looks of it, Cinelli is the future of cycling.

Updates

Recently upgraded a few parts on the ride. Threw on a pair of carbon Zipps for the longer, faster rides and also some Look Keo Classic clipless pedals.

Cinelli Mash Histogram

Two months back during the Tour Of California, Mash held an exhibition at Project Space in L.A. The installations were photo's of last years Tour Of California which the Mash crew participated in. To commemorate this, Cinelli, along with the Mash boys, produced the Cinelli Mash Histogram frame-set to go along with the installations. There are only three of these beauties in existence, which are exactly the same in colorway, just different sizes. According to Mash, "the finished product is produced with a 2010 Columbus/Cinelli/MASH frame-set, with powder coat, matte clear coat, fine die-cuts." It's truly a beautiful piece, I wouldn't even want to ride it! Check out some photos and recap of the exhibit here.



Just the other day this highly coveted, limited frame-set popped up on eBay, fully built up and complete with a starting bid of $2,500 and a 'Buy it now' price of $4,000. It's a size 55cm and comes strapped with some pretty decent parts, though I would definitely modify a few. There are no bids yet, shit I wish I had money to just throw around, but it can be yours by clicking here! Go ahead, live dangerously! Sm:)e on your Vigorelli

Cinelli is having an awesome contest this month strictly for Vigorelli owners. Basically all you have to do is submit a photo showing "how happy you are when your with your Vigorelli" and you could win a custom painted Vigorelli signed by the great Antonio Colombo, owner of Columbus Tubing & Cinelli. Pretty easy if you ask me. Unlimited entries are allowed, so snap away! Come to think of it, I might go in on this deal and see if I can grab me another Vigorelli! 4th Build Check

A few months ago I posted a photo on here of the Cinelli 'Vigorelli' frame-set and how I was considering buying it. Well, after selling off various bike parts & frames, I managed to finally get my hands on one that fits just right. It's got a great, responsive ride with a rigid geometry. Nothing beats a Cinelli.

Cinelli x Mash Prototype

I know this has been plastered on just about every bike blog known to man, but since the Cinelli x Mash has always been my favorite track bike, this post is long overdue. Apparently they will be releasing two versions of the frame. One with some serious track geometry catered specifically for the track, which will be slightly higher in price, and one with the same perfect geometry and specs as the current street model. Their goal was to offer something different for the customer, which is always a plus. They also mentioned that the color scheme will not be what is currently being used on the prototype and that those are only stickers applied to a raw frame. But who cares about that, either way it's a beautiful bike! They should be up for sale sometime in 2011, "and no sooner" according to their blog.
